When I saw this floral reference image, I knew I had to paint it. There are so many great things happening with the unintentional blending of the underwash colors. In person, it is so light and cheerful.

"Be Fearless", it's just paint!
I watched my daughter attack a painting fearlessly last night. With a spark of inspiration, she experiments, is joyful in the process, dives in with fingers, paints directly from the tube, used the weirdest techniques just to play and create. I need to take a page from her childhood creative fearlessness!
Also, and pretty damn good painting for 9 yrs old! Finished painting in comments.

Remember this public art project/sidewalk mural from last summer? Well, we are back at it now that Spring has arrived.
After some bad product information, we are now tasked with repainting areas that didn't make it through the winter. We have now been told we should have sealed our artwork. So, we shall push on, do touch-ups, and seal as we go.
Determined to finish this project and have our hard work last!

Hello friends! January is #birthdefectsawarenessmonth. My friend Sarah Diamond has a non-profit that helps to support families that have children with birth defects. This organization works with other local businesses and providers to give families resources, support and care packages while in the hospital with their newborns. Sarah experienced this need with her youngest child, and was blessed to have some folks help her in a time of need. She started, along with her other board members this non-profit to give back and help families just like hers.
Sarah, being new to Hutchinson since her move here during Covid, would like to introduce her non-profit to our community. We have planned a fundraising event and a creative paint night at Splinters-N-Rust. We are also working with the new Culinary Arts program The Clayworks at Disability Supports to provide us with some delicious appetizers for the event! Disability Supports works to enrich the lives of the disabled in our community. We are excited to have them as a sponsor for this event as we believe they are in invaluable resource for families in our community.

Hello friends! January is #birthdefectsawarenessmonth. My friend Sarah Diamond has a non-profit that helps to support families that have children with birth defects. This organization works with other local businesses and providers to give families resources, support and care packages while in the hospital with their newborns. Sarah experienced this need with her youngest child, and was blessed to have some folks help her in a time of need. She started, along with her other board members this non-profit to give back and help families just like hers.
Sarah, being new to Hutchinson since her move here during Covid, would like to introduce her non-profit to our community. We have planned a fundraising event and a creative paint night at Splinters-N-Rust. We are also working with the new Culinary Arts program The Clayworks at Disability Supports to provide us with some delicious appetizers for the event! Disability Supports works to enrich the lives of the disabled in our community. We are excited to have them as a sponsor for this event as we believe they are in invaluable resource for families in our community.

Splinters-N-Rust received some beautiful new Gemstone lights yesterday, just in time for the parade tomorrow! Now we can be festive year-round in Downtown Hutchinson! Thank you to Salt City Electric for installing these amazing commercial grade permanent lights! Give them a call if you are interested in more information (commercial & residential permanent )
